Vive la Magia de la Adopción esta Navidad: ¡Gran Jornada en Engativá!

La administración del alcalde Carlos Fernando Galán invita a todos los ciudadanos a participar en la Gran Jornada de Adopción 'Vive la Magia de la Adopción en esta Navidad', organizada por el Instituto Distrital de Protección y Bienestar Animal (IDPYBA). Este evento, repleto de esperanza y solidaridad, se llevará a cabo el próximo domingo 15 de diciembre en la Unidad de Cuidado Animal, ubicada en la carrera 106a No.67-02, barrio El Muelle, localidad de Engativá, de 10:00 a.m. a 3:00 p.m.
Mariana Martin Leyes, Directora General del IDPYBA, destacó la importancia de brindar un hogar amoroso a los animales rescatados. “Los invitamos a hacer de esta Navidad una fecha inolvidable, brindando el mejor regalo para estos animales: un hogar amoroso para toda la vida”, afirmó.
Durante la jornada, cerca de 50 perros y gatos que han sido atendidos bajo programas del IDPYBA, como Urgencias Veterinarias, Brigadas Médicas, Escuadrón Anticrueldad y Captura, y Esteriliza Suelta (CES), estarán disponibles para adopción. Estos animales han superado situaciones difíciles, incluyendo maltrato, enfermedades y accidentes, y están listos para encontrar un hogar definitivo.
Uno de estos casos es el de Blas, un noble canino de 11 años que fue atropellado en la localidad de Ciudad Bolívar. Gracias a la atención brindada por los médicos veterinarios y al equipo de cuidadores del IDPYBA, Blas logró una recuperación integral y, desde hace un año, espera encontrar una familia que lo adopte.
